Your Gift Makes a Lasting Difference

Howe Community Resource Center’s mission is to ensure children in Brown County are safe, healthy, and ready for both life and academic success. As we celebrate 30 years of impact, we continue to strengthen families through the programs below.

How Your Donation Makes an Impact

  • Parents as Teachers – Home Visiting Program
Trained Parent Educators support families from pregnancy through age four throughout Brown County, offering home visits, group activities, and child developmental screenings. In the past year, Parent Educators completed 633 home visits that prepared children for school and equipped parents with tools and confidence for the journey.
  • Community Parenting Programs & Resource Support
We offer community-wide programs and resource hours, providing families with opportunities to connect, learn, and access support.
  • Mental Health Support
We collaborate with Howe Elementary Community School, to ensure students have a safe place to turn during difficult moments. Last year, 320 counseling sessions helped students build resilience and feel supported.
  • Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library
Families living in the 54301 and 54302 zip codes can enroll to receive a free, age-appropriate book mailed to their home each month at no cost. This program fosters early literacy, strengthens parent-child connections, and nurtures a lifelong love of reading from an early age. Currently, over 750 families are enrolled.

By offering support, resources, and encouragement, we walk along side families to support them on their journey. Together, we are building a community where everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
